Position: Youth Director

Work content

• Working with middle and high school students (6^th to 12^th grade)
• Working with and assisting the GCCSD pastor
• Preparing for and teaching middle school youths on Friday nights
• Participating in monthly special youth ministry activities
• Occasional relationship-building social times with the youths
• Planning & developing youth ministry teaching curriculum
• Approximately and at least 15 hours per week

 

Qualifications

• Passing a background check
• A baptized Christian
• Having good Bible knowledge, and will abide by Glory Christian Church's statement of faith
• Having children or youth-teaching experience or has been in a youth ministry in a local church
• A degree in Christian ministries or child education psychology is preferred but not required

 

References required

• Pastor of the church in which the applicant is attending
• Pastor of the church in which the applicant has been a participating youth or has served in a teaching ministry, if applicable
