Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.
In 2002, brother Adam and brother Ming started the Carmel Valley home fellowship group. Subsequently, brother Adam left our group to lead Joy fellowship group on Friday evenings at church. In 2007, we followed other fellowship groups and started meeting at church on Friday evenings. Several years ago, Carmel Valley and Joy fellowship combined to form the current Joy fellowship group.
During our fellowship meetings, we learn to interpret GOD’s words, pray for each other and encourage each other. We also learn to appreciate nature, which our LORD has so graciously provided us. The LORD also added new members to our fellowship group. We also experienced trials and tribulations, some of us lost our jobs, some had to relocate to other areas, or had physical illness. Despite the ups and downs we had to go through, we are not discouraged. We know that God is always with us and that He is also faithful. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
Our members include single adults, parents of young children and empty nesters. We are learning to rejoice in the LORD (Philippians 3:1) and to strengthen ourselves through the joy of the LORD (Nehemiah 10:8b). We welcome you and together as a spiritual family, we can learn from each other and experience the great joy of our fellowship.
